The book encourages parents to engage with their children during bedtime, fostering a sense of connection and peace.
6. NYC Counts (Collab with DERT) Illustrated by Heewon Yum
NYC Counts is a unique counting book created in collaboration with DERT, introducing readers to New York City’s most iconic symbols, from the Empire State Building to yellow taxis. Featuring minimalist yet vibrant illustrations, the book captures the city’s energy and charm in a playful, hand-drawn style reminiscent of a child’s drawing, making it both engaging and approachable for young readers.
Created mockup renders to test different color options by digitally altering the original clipper designs in Photoshop.
8. ESC: A Digital Detox Campaign (Thesis 2025)
ESC is a public service announcement (PSA) campaign designed to challenge the hold social media has on everyday life. In an era where personal time is commodified through self-promotion, content creation, and endless engagement, true rest has become rare. ESC encourages individuals to step back, disconnect, and experience genuine relaxation.
The campaign spans both digital and print platforms, using bold visuals and stark facts to disrupt habitual screen time. Rather than presenting digital detox as a restriction, ESC frames it as a reset—one that fosters mindfulness, presence, and appreciation for offline moments.
Beyond awareness, ESC extends its impact through an interactive website and a line of merchandise. The site offers strategies for reducing screen time and cultivating meaningful offline habits, while merchandise reinforces the message with tangible tools: minimalist phone pouches for intentional breaks, apparel symbolizing a commitment to unplugging, keychains as daily reminders, and bookmarks carrying messages of mindfulness.
By combining educational resources with everyday objects, ESC transforms digital detox from a passive idea into an active lifestyle—empowering people to reclaim their time and embrace authentic rest.
